Cedar Lake has 75 surface acres of water surronded by a 56 acre park and is located on the Southwest side of Olathe.

Park Rules and Regulations

NO Swimming allowed
Boating Hours: 6AM - 9PM
Boating - Electric motors ONLY
NO Beer or Liquor allowed
All Dogs must be on a leash
Vehicles must remain on the roadways. Keep of the grass
Park Hours: 6:00AM to 10:00PM

History of the lake

Originally built around 1930, this lake was the first to be named "LAKE OLATHE". The name remaned Lake Olathe until the current Lake Olathe was built in the mid 1950's. Even today, some maps still have this lake listed as Lake Olathe.
